Need help removing all files from an uninstalled program

I recently uninstalled VMware Fusion from my Macbook Pro (2017). I have always had a difficult time uninstalling on mac as the process just never seems to "completely" uninstall all files. Now, I find I need to reinstall VMware Fusion but when I tried to install, the install process seems to be hijacked by remaining Fusion files on my comp that attempt to open the program and I then get an alert window that says File Not Found. So it can't open and it won't do a fresh install.

I have searched all files I can't find any old files related to Fusion that I didn't already find when I uninstalled.

is there another way to find files associated with Fusion? I was thinking clean my mac. I know a lot of people hate it but I need something to clean up some straggler files.

open to any suggestions and advice.

Thank you!

You can use or post the free EtreCheck report and it will show the location of any leftover files. The report contains no personal information.

You are correct the CleanMyMac is known as BrickMyMac due to the nature of the program. It is also difficult to remove. Most legitimate programs provide an uninstaller that will remove all files. All modern applications and those installed from the App Store use application bundles where all remnant files are contained in the app and also removed when the app is simply dragged to the trash. There is no installation process when apps use this process other than dragging the app to the Application folder. The developer chooses the method of installation.
