Timer suddenly stops making a sounds

When I make a set of my timer for example at 6:00 am and for any reason I don’t wake up. After a while the sound of the timer stops and don’t make any sound and the screen shows the button of stop or snooze . (I want to not stops until I stop it )

Timer notification won't go off when looking at the screen This seems weird, but it's probably a feature 🙃 When I am using my timer and the screen is open and I am looking at it, the thing won't make a noise when it is finished. If I close the screen it will make the noise every time. Why would my looking at the screen impact whether or not it notifies at the end of the timer?

I put it in silent mode. So, if I put it in regular mode the problem will be solved and the alarm will make a sound and doesn’t stop until I stop it?
