iPhone 14 Plus - Audio cuts off while using Instagram

My Iphone 14 Plus has worked just fine for the last year and all of a sudden in the middle of listening to an app (intagram, and items send from others on Instagram, etc) it stops suddently and sometimes starts up for a few seconds, then stops again and won't go again. Even if I close out the app and reopen it will not start again. I have tried everything I know to do (even rebooting my iPhone) and to no success. This only started about 2 weeks ago and it is very frustrating and I don't have time to deal with this stuff. I'm about to toss the phone in the garbage and get something else (I have had an iPhone for ever but this is about my undoing, unless I can find a resolution).
