Messages not reaching Mac

I have a new Mac running Sequoia 15.2.   Not all text messages reach the Mac.  Some do, some don’t. They ALL reach my iPad and iPhone.  All three device are sitting side-by-side and the Mac is the only device with a problem. On the Mac, if I go to Messages/Settings/iMessage, I can click Sync Now, and SOME of the messages come through, but still, some others do not.  What would cause this?
