Mac Pro all the way! 😉
I’ve owned two iMacs in my lifetime and while you get convenience, you sacrifice flexibility.
Last month you asked for buying advice for curved monitors here, specifically for a Mac Pro.
You won’t have that flexibility with an iMac.
Good luck! 👋🏼😉

Mac Pro 2019 or iMac Pro 2017:
If I had to choose between the two (based on the model), I'd choose baes on my needs and goals to meet. As for a secure device, both are compatible with the latest macOS (Sequoia). See here: macOS Sequoia is Compatible with these Computers - Apple Support
TheLittles makes a good point. Choose either based on your needs and goals . For me, it would be expandability, although i do have a mac pro 2012 and it suits me fine, if i could afford to and Really needed to, i’d go for an Intel
Mac Pro 2019 in a heartbeat. Does the Apple Store have any Certified Refurbished ones in stock ? I checked, they do-but they are all M2’s, not Intel
