Mac is Getting Old (aren't we all?)

I have an iMac 27 inch desktop purchased in 2019, with i5 Core and 16 Gig of memory (2.7 TB available of 3.12 TB).

Since installing Sequoia I've noticed it is slowing down quite a bit. I assume that is because the older chip can't handle the newest version of MacOS and apps...I do regular junk checks and cleaning and am careful about deleting unnecessary items but I'm afraid it might be time for something new. Any suggestions or advice for getting things back to what was normal would be welcome.

THANK YOU

iMac 27″, macOS 15.2
