Would it be safe to put my monitor on top of my mac mini M2 long term or should i just purchase a monitor stand? Im asking because it would be more aesthetically pleasing to put it on top of my mac mini but i dont want to damage it.

The M2 Mac mini's fan vents through the bottom, does it not? I would think therefore that putting a monitor on top shouldn't cause problems since to my knowledge the top of the case doesn't serve any significant purpose for cooling. As least there appears to be no connection between the top case and any internal heat sink. I'd be more concerned about the stability of the display, depending on the size of its stand. And of course having the display on top could make it more difficult to reach the ports or power switch.
