iPhone 16 pro max. Software updates downloaded. All people identified in photo library. On the previous screen I entered the persons name. When I get to this screen no one is listed. What do I need to do? Thanks.

We both got new phones yesterday and restored them using the old phone backup. Mine works fine and my Wife’s has the same issue as yours, no people at all in genmoji or image playground. Strange.

Same here. Some of them appear but the new ones is not…

It's April and this is still an issue. Just got my 16 Pro Max and it's not identifying any faces lol

Same here. Just updated, got phone today. I have people and pets identified, stickers on.
Same problem. My “Choose a Person” field is empty in both genmoji (in iMessage) and Image Playground.
I have plenty of people listed in my “People & Pets” album in Photos.
My phone and Siri language are both English (US).
I think it’s just bugged.
did you ever figure out a fix for this? I’ve been working on the problem for weeks and can’t figure it out. I go to my people choices, but not all the ones I have added show up. This is getting frustrating.
Here’s a thought:
Open Photos, tap a picture showing your face to open, swipe up and add a "Caption" to match your name.
I did that to all photos of me and it has helped.
Not a perfect solution by any means.
