Bluetooth volume goes to max with specific devices
Preamble: I have searched the forum and while I did find multiple records of the same issue, I am yet to find a solution or proper feedback. My wild guess is that this has to do with the Bluetooth version/drivers of the device.
Context
I often listen to music on my iPhone 13 mini. Earpods, airpods, random branded speakers all work fine.
Issue
On a new device (electric drum kit module) the volume jumps to 100%. Happens with my iPhone, iPad and Macbook Air:
- Whenever something starts playing (Apple Music, Tidal, YouTube) the volume jumps to 100% whatever the initial volume settings.
- I then manually lower the volume.
- Resume playing and it jumps again to 100%.
- Lower the volume again and then it stays that way after a very loud beep.
I have also contacted the e-kit manufacturer for info on their side.
