Used Mac info needed

Hi folks

I recently acquired a used Mac but wasn’t given any model stats apart from 32meg memory.

The photo shows the only info on the unit itself. Based on this can anyone tell me what it is please?

Many thanks in advance for any help provided!

Model number and basic specs as shipped are circled in green.

Model A1186 is, as correctly cited in the reply above, a very old (2008) and very hot Mac Pro “cheese-grater” model.

Shipped with 2 GB memory, Radeon 2600XT graphics, 1 TB SATA HDD, SuperDrive, as shipped.

Current hardware contents may not match that configuration nowadays.

Tops out at OS X 10.11.

That was a nice system for its time.

that Mac can run up to 10.11.6 El Capitan, which CAN get on the internet.

It does not have Recovery in its ROM. If it has ANY working MacOS installed, DO NOT ERASE it until you have made a replacement stand-alone boot drive or you have a working original MacOS installer DVD on hand.
