Apple Pages V12. Rearranging page Thumbnails in a word processing doc.

I created a 2-page test doc. No page breaks, or other complications - just text. Thumbnails are grouped with a background color, with active page highlighted but it won't allow drag&drop to rearrange the page order

I have a longer document (song lyrics, etc) whose order I want to rearrange. It has page breaks, tables, etc. Both fall under the "Documents" description in Apple Support literature. According to everything I've read I should be able to rearrange these pages.

What am I missing?

Hi BlueCrayon,

In a word processing document, insert a Section Break at the bottom of each page. Then you can drag thumbnails to rearrange pages.

Menu > Insert > Section Break.

Or, use the good old Cut and Paste to move content around!

Page Layout mode, where each page is already a Section. But beware that if you convert Word Processing to Page Layout, you will lose body text.

Page Layout requires text to be in Text Boxes.

Ian.
