links to specific page lost when converting to PDF

My Page newsletter has hyperlinks to pages (the orange circle with the arrow). There are only 6 links. When the document is converted to PDF the links are gone. If there a way to convert to PDF and keep the hyperlinks?

The default orange link and arrow are only visible in Pages when you link an object (e.g. image) to supported links (e.g. web page, bookmark, etc.). Upon export to PDF, the object link does remain active, though unseen until you pass a pointer over that object and a tooltip floats over it. Thus, if I link an image to a Pages bookmark on the first page of the Pages document, when I click that image in a PDF, I am taken to the first page.
