Can I have a Silent mode with just the ringtone volume on iPhone?

cant find any information on the topic, although I’m hardly the only one wishing to enable my ringtone as a silent user.

I don’t want any alternative solutions, my question is if there’s any way to turn on the ring tone while having your phone in silent.

How to silence my iphone 12 pro. I just want to know how to silence my iphone 12 pro. This should be one of the easiest and intuitive things to do. I use the volume down button on the left side of my phone, and the image comes up on my screen that sound is off. Then I get a call with an audible ring. What exactly did I silence, then? I follow the instructions in Apple Support to the T, and (1)I don't have a ring/silence button as pictured, and (2) when I try changing it in settings, I click "ringtone" (instruction step#2) and there is no silence option. Only options to change the sound of my ringtone. Why is this so complicated?????

iPhone volume buttons mute ringtone I have an iPhone 11 Pro. When I try to adjust up/down the volume of the ringtone for an incoming call, the ringtone is muted, I expect the ringtone volume to change and not mute. In Settings > Sounds & Haptics > Ringer and Alerts I have Change with Buttons ON. How can I get the side buttons to change the ringtone volume when I receive an incoming call?

Yes, use Do Not Disturb instead of the Mute switch.
