Notes in the Notes app: When you delete a note, it is moved to the "Recently Deleted" folder, both on iCloud and On My iPhone, depending on where the note was stored. Notes can be recovered from this folder within 30 days. If you delete a note from iCloud, it is available for recovery from the iCloud Recently Deleted folder, and the same goes for notes stored locally (On My iPhone).
- Contents within the note (call recordings, scanned documents, texts, and drawings): If any media such as calls (call recording), scanned documents, texts, or drawings are part of the note, they will also appear in the Recently Deleted folder when the note is deleted. You can recover these contents as long as the note itself is recovered.
- Call recordings: If you have a call recording stored within a note (e.g., a voice memo or file attached to a note), and the note is deleted, the call recording will also be moved to the "Recently Deleted" folder along with the rest of the note’s content. As long as the note itself is in the Recently Deleted folder, you can recover the call recording by restoring the entire note.
- Deleting individual content: If you delete just the call recording or other media (like a scan, drawing, or text) from within a note, and you do not use the "Undo" command immediately, that specific content (call recording, scan, etc.) will be lost permanently, as the "Undo" feature does not work once you have navigated away or closed the note.
- Loss of content: If you manually delete individual elements like a call recording, a drawing, scan, or text from within a note, and you haven't used the "Undo" command immediately, this content is not recoverable through the Recently Deleted folder. Once deleted from within the note and the Undo command is not used, the content is lost permanently unless a backup (e.g., iCloud or iTunes backup) contains the note before deletion.
