Mac Studio M2 Max flickering with EIZO 27" display

Especially after it wakes-up from sleep (under Sequoia 15.2), the screen starts to flicker during e.g. games.

It feels like the processor is not coping, and has a lot of lag.

Apparently, EIZO is aware of flickering.

I had U-Green active cables - the CG277 being DisplayPort 1.2 was not recognised (the CG2730 was), but a lot of this flickering.

I am now on StarTech USB-C > MiniDisplayPort cables. CG277 is recognised, but flickering is still there.

Often it suffices to reboot the Mac for the problem to vanish - until it comes back after another "Mac Sleep"...

Yes , Claude Cauwe, this is indeed a known problem ( eg EIZO knows about it) . There is some kind of software update for your monitor, here, supports MacOS Sonoma …

https://www.eizoglobal.com/support/db/products/download/1036… you could try that, also make sure your video cable support HDCP 2.2… latest colour manager software for this is 7.2.2, here: https://www.eizo.dk/support/db/products/compatibility/CG277/#tab02

if you have applied both of them, and no change ( maybe won’t be ) then contact EIZO… or wait from an update from Apple…. does it happen in “Safe mode”? Here’s how to try that : Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support (CA), otherwise, i give up, make sure your video output frequency is 60 hz
