Mac Studio Ultra M2 to a 30" Cinema Display
I've been reviewing some of the answers from people who've appeared to be very helpful with this topic and so I purposely just got an Mac M2 (instead of anything more recent) Studio Ultra so I could use just the Club 3D Dual Link DVI-D (HDCP OFF) to USB C adapter on a 30" Cinema Display. It still doesn't work. The light on the monitor comes on and there's a very subtle difference in screen blackness when it's on, but essentially, it's not showing anything. I even read that it's better to plug into the Studio unit last (thanks Grant!) because the Mac queries the monitor, but even trying that didn't work. Went back to my old Mac tower and the monitor works fine, so I'm stumped on what to do. I even used SwitchResX to check HDCP status and it is "off" or not useable. I'm trying to walk thru the proper steps, but it just isn't producing anything except - for a brief moment, I'll see a big arrow in the corner and some light colors and it's gone in two seconds with only a nearly completely black screen (turning the monitor off and on, you can just barely see the difference in the "shade of black" if that makes sense. Hooking the monitor back up to my 2010 Tower shows that it's working just fine.
Could anyone provide some help?
thanks,
Rod
