How do I fix purple screen issues on Mac mini?

Hello, I have a Mac Mini with a M1 chip (2020) updated fully to 15.2 (updated today, was running ios 12 before the shutdown). yesterday I was playing a game on it and it randomly shut down with a purple screen (it also smelled like something was burnt). It kept doing the purple screen and kept restarting until I made the decision to wipe all data. It works now, but I lost half of my frames per second. I was using a PlayStation 4 power cable instead of the apple power cable because I am not able to find the apple one. I am now using a separate power cable. I’m thinking I broke something gpu related but I am not sure. Is there any way i can fix this issue before I take it into apple to be repaired?
