Apple Vision Pro Cracked Outer Glass - Manufacturer Defect (CONSUMER RIGHTS/ POLICY regarding internal process)

I submitted my Apple Vision Pro to the Genius Bar in Abu Dhabi Yas Mall due to 3 cracks appearing on my Apple Vision Pro’s outer glass. The device didn’t fall or get dropped as it has been a protective case in one room. After assessing the device at the Genius Bar, the specialist confirmed no dents or damage due to dropping and was recommended for the repair center to fix it under warranty…


I was informed if there was a charge, I would be notified by email and will have the choice to either approve/deny. Within a week i received an email saying my Vision Pro is on its way back to me… and was pleased that the service was fast and ethical with its warranty….EXCEPT it wasn’t.


I was slapped with a 9000 AED bill (Approx $2500) for the fix…. And i never received a quote to approve via email/support website…. The team at Apple Yas Mall have escalated my case since the repair center based in Dubai failed to share a quote and decided to repair the device without my consent (despite the recommendation from the Genius Bar specialist that it should be fixed under warranty).


It has been over 3 weeks of me following up (the repair was completed in three days) and the only response i keep getting is we are waiting for managerial approval from the repair center to waive the cost… Can someone please advise on what’s Apple’s policy because I couldn’t find anything in their legal section about how much time a manager needs to decide whether or not I should pay for a repair that I never approved….
