I use the calculator on my iPhone frequently. A couple of days ago I dropped in and as I stretched out my hand to catch it before it hit the floor I accidentally hit a combination of buttons that enabled the calculator to instantly convert my calculations into euros - and I have no idea how to turn this off! Help!

That’s an added feature of the iOS 18 calculator - it does currency conversions, which previously required a 3rd party app. You enable (or disable) this feature by tapping on the calculator icon in the lower left corner of the keyboard, where you can turn this off, and also select calculator mode:
