iPhone 13 Pro Max Factory Reset using Finder

recently, I fixed up an iPhone 13 pro max which I got for a low price. when I got it booted up I put it into recovery mode since there was a passcode on the device and tried factory resetting the phone using Finder on my Mac. My Mac is fully updated and all my cables are from Apple however, it still doesn't want to reset. it will probably go 70% of the way of downloading the software first, the iPhone would turn off and go back to the recovery screen while the download carries on for another 30 seconds on my Mac and then the error message on my Mac will appear (The iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored an unknown error occurred (10).) I have read through other forums, on the Apple community to see if I could solve the problem somehow. unfortunately, the only REAL answer I got was someone trying for hours until it worked. I have wasted my money using Stellar which does the same thing, I also have downloaded Apple Configurator 2 and yet again it failed to download the software. if there is any other way of factory resetting an iPhone I would love to learn how to, any information will be helpful. :)
