Mac OS upgrade to OS 15 has slowed down external drives.

I upgraded my Mac Mini 2018 (is set up as a server but with a normal OS and hardwired into the network) to OS 15.2 from OS 14 and since than SSD and Other Hard Disks attached to it (Via USB) are very slow to access from the network. And I mean slow. This is compared to previously. Any idea as to why this should be so? Fixes?

Slow external drive Thunderbolt with Ventura slower than the previous version by almost 1/2 the speed. Disk utility cannot see a network drive I have connected a hard drive via the USB socket on my Airport Extreme, to act as a network drive. It appears on my desktops (iMac or MacBook Air) and behaves normally. However, I cannot access it via Disk Utility (Show All Devices is ticked). Is there another setting I need to alter?
