"Cant detect any sim card"

Troubleshooting "No SIM":

Do you see “no SIM” on the top-left corner of your iPhone screen? If so,...

  • Whom to Contact: Contact your Carrier, as they are the one who provide you with the service of configuring your SIM Card.

Why is my iPhone not detecting SIM card?: […]That’s why I am puzzled whether this is a software or hardware error, however, this only happens following iOS 18 update.

Troubleshooting Card Error After an Update:

Having just occurred after installing an update, it would make this a software bug.

A. Whom to Contact:

Contact your Carrier, as they are the one who provide you with the service of Voicemail.

B. Report this to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of your occurrence, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Hi TheLittles,

Thanks for helping... and yes, both local eSim and physical Sim card are not working, only international eSim is working as far as my experiment going. I don't have international physical Sim at the moment. That's why I am puzzled whether this is a software or hardware error, however, this only happens following iOS 18 update.

eSIM Working where it Shouldn’t:
If eSIM is doing the job, then Contact Apple Support It would be a bit strange if it is not intended to eSIM cards. Perhaps it’s a hardware error, then, and not a software error?

I have the same problem since iOS 18 update and have tried any available fix I found on the internet. Lastly, I even went down to the cellular provider to get replacement e-SIM and also physical SIM card and yet, still not able to fix it.

I also notice the replacement SIM card is working just fine using the other iPhone with prior iOS 17.x

Does anyone have the same problem like me? and the weirdest thing though, the iPhone works fine using e-SIM from abroad.
