Sorting library in Apple Books

Trying to sort library in Apple Books to show only books I’ve bought, books I want to buy, and the subset of books I’ve read. Instead, the Home Screen is just a store front, and the Library screen includes books in series I have no interest in, and while I can “hide” series titles on specific book screens, I can’t hide them on the Library home page.

Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?

Apple Books Keeps Deleting My Books How do I prevent the Books apps from deleting (moving to the cloud) copies of my books? This is extremely frustrating as I find myself on a plane or a boat or somewhere without Internet access and my books miraculously deleted. It's not a storage saving issue because my books take up less than a GB and I've got hundreds of GB of free space. I don't see an option in settings to prevent books from being deleted. Is there a workaround to this bug?

Books on Apple Books are missing I download PDFs of books or articles online and I like reading them on Apple Books since I can highlight things and add annotations that are saved to both my laptop and phone. Today I tried opening a book and noticed that all of my books and PDFs were gone. I looked at the original downloaded PDFs in my files and all of the highlights and annotations are gone. I am doing research so this is very inconvenient, I cant just lose all that work. What happened and how can I get the highlights back?
