I have the iPad Pro m4 and the Mac mini 2 and would like to connect them both to my studio display so I can switch back and forth to utilize the features of both. Is this configuration even possible??

As far as switching between your iPad Pro and your MM2 you are on your own. You should call www.macsales.com (you can find the phone number on their website) if such a switch exists OWC would likely carry it.
