Like everyone else I’ve been hacked

I hear everybody say that nobody can control an iPhone remotely. I’ve taken my phone to the sheriffs department & made a complaint. They saw things moving on my screen and saw the microphone come in by itself! It’s been about three weeks now it’s progressively gotten worse. I keep getting text messages saying “I’m watching you” saying “I can see how fast you’re going, slow down”! It’s just scary. I got no help from T-Mobile, Apple keeps telling me it’s completely impossible because of course when they’re doing their thing in my phone, nothing‘s moving and everything’s where it should be. And actually as I’m typing this whoever’s hacking me just turned on the noise for my keypad so I’m beeping every time I text. I don’t know who I can get help from, but I did go to the local Cleveland, Ohio branch of Federal Bureau investigations, and I was able to file a complaint with their Internal crime complaint center for Internet crimes. I’m hoping that somehow they can help me because I can’t get this out of my phone or my iPad and they are not linked anymore. I’m pretty sure this is an ex-boyfriend, but I don’t know how he got this on my phone. If anybody has any advice to help me, I would really appreciate it cause I’m at my wits end.

Actually, everybody else has not been hacked, except for a few key figures on the world stage such as political rivals, drug kingpins, journalists in repressive societies, because the cost of remote hacking runs into the tens of thousands of dollars.

Thus, your iPhone hasn’t been hacked, either unless you fall into those categories.

The text messages are SCAMS, pure and simple→Recognize and avoid social engineering schemes including phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams

The other symptoms sound like Ghost Touch, a failure mode of the screen digitizer - have Apple check out your screen.

One possibility is your ex has hacked your phone, but that would only be possible if he had physical possession of it for about 30 minutes, and he knew your passcode. And even then that would not explain any of your symptoms; the most he could do is install spyware. And there’s a simple solution for that - restore the phone to factory settings, and set it up again→Restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support

The FBI is your best resource. There are cases with high level government officials where mercenary software was able to be installed, but you are looking at someone spending close to $1 million dollars per device and you would also expect a wire tap on your cell provider and your physical activities being monitored by agents. If that sounds like you, then it is possible. Apple does provide a Support Article for those cases:

OK, I understand. It’s probably user error. I get it. But how come all through my settings I have these app clips that I cannot access and I did not put there. I don’t even know what they are… And I’m constantly getting notifications that somebody is trying to get into my email my Apple, my Facebook all that stuff

Well, someone IS trying to get into your email and stuff, but failing. That’s a good thing. Just make sure you have strong passwords and 2 factor authentication. But if you know who it is call law enforcement and file a stalking complaint.

And he sends me pictures of a map of where I’m at when he GPS is me and he even knew how fast I was going in my car. This is really creepy so is this something I’m doing in my crazy and imagining this because if I am, I need to go get help!!! Ugh!!

OK, at one time you shared your location with him. Did you cancel that? Open the Find My app, tap on Me, and turn off Share My Location.
