Recovering deleted notes from a specific contact on iPhone

If you sync contacts with iCloud, when you edit a contact, the changes are made in real time everywhere you sync with iCloud, including iCloud itself. If don't have an iCloud backup from before you edited the contact, the notes you had in the contact are gone.
