How to resize external monitor display

Im using macbook air m2 and connected an AOC 27" monitor to it. It's working fine but I just feel like its zoomed in or something. Looks like everything is too big for me. I cant seem to find any solution on this one. I've checked settings>display>resolution>1920x1080 (default). I still want to make it smaller. I use this for work and I have few windows open. The office has 27" monitor thats why I bought one as well but when I used mine, it does arrangement isnt the same due to the size, its all zoomed in and too big. Before I give up, I wanna know if this is it, its the best I can get. thanks!

According to the specifications for that monitor, it may only capable or a display resolution of 1920x1080 at either 60Hz or 100Hz. It doesn't seem to be particularly flexible, so defining a higher resolution from the MBA won't bbe an option. The reason the 27" monitor at the office seem more comfortable for you is they have the ability to display using a higher resolution.

If you go to System Settings... > Displays and then click the slider for "Show all resolutions", you might be presented with additional resolutions from which you can choose to adjust the display.

However, I do think you are stuck with the default of the monitor and if you want something more you'll have to buy a monitor that has better specs.
