MBP Sequoia, recurrent restarts, Sleep/Wake hang detected

My MBP (2019), currently running Sequoia 15.2 (but the problem has been recurrent since 3 or 4 OS updates ago) regularly restarts itself whenever I leave it idle for around an hour or more. After such restarts, it displays a message informing me that a USB memory stick had not been correctly ejected before it was disconnected, despite the fact that the memory stick was never either ejected or disconnected. The USB memory stick is connected via a Belken hub connected in turn to a Lifetech 2.0 USB hub with a separate power supply. I suspect that the problem may lie with (a) a faulty cable or connector, (b) a faulty Belken hub, or (c) a faulty Lifetech 2.0 USB hub. The question is how can I identify which component is at fault.

I have copied and pasted the error report below on the off chance that this may reveal something useful to someone who knows how to read these things.

Many thanks to anyone who can provide useful information.

I've never heard of "LifeTech", so that would be a good place to start. Your USB stick could also be at fault since the quality of USB sticks is extremely poor.

Just remove the LifeTech hub and connect the USB stick directly to the Belkin hub or directly to the computer to see if that makes any difference. You just have to try different combinations until you figure out which device is causing the problem. Sometimes it a problem can be caused by a compatibility issue between two devices as well.

There is no useful information in that Kernel Panic log to help other than knowing it was a sleep/wake issue.

Edit: The problem may also be due to your 2019 laptop. I have found that the Logic Boards on the 2018-2020 Intel USB-C Macs have a higher rate of failure than older models with the 2019 models (especially the 16") being the worst.

You may want to run the third party app EtreCheck and post the full report here so we can examine it for clues.
