IOS Failed project import - file too new.

Hello, As recently as September I was able to import my iOS iMovie projects to my iMAC. I just returned from a vacation and have four new movie projects from my iPhone yo my iMAC, but I am getting a "project too new" error.

I am running Monterery 12.7.6 on the iMAC.

My "system update" on the iMAC says that it is up to date. It has iMovie 10.3.8.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

iMac 27″, macOS 12.7

It’s a real drag. As an update, since I posted this I replaced my 2014 iMac that was running the latest version of Monterrey with a brand new Mac Mini running the latest version of Sequoia and iMovie, and get the same message. Pretty frustrating.
