I took the recommended steps to shut down but can get nowhere. I am locked into SIRI replying (mirroring to button pushes) but I can’t shut down. Using latest update , happened unexpectedly after logging on and attempting to use facebook

Finally was able to reset. In desperation I triple pushed the power button three times in a row, I then did the +vol then -vol then held power button until apple appeared. This finally reset iPad and all is as it should be. Happy New Year!
