Books Not Showing on iPad or iPhone

PDFs and other files I've added on my Mac to Books do not appear on my iPad and iPhone. Books does not appear on Apps Using iCloud (System Settings>Apple ID) but does appear on Apps syncing to iCloud Drive. I've toggled it on and off there and checked settings on both my phone and iPad. Any ideas?

Books on Apple Books are missing I download PDFs of books or articles online and I like reading them on Apple Books since I can highlight things and add annotations that are saved to both my laptop and phone. Today I tried opening a book and noticed that all of my books and PDFs were gone. I looked at the original downloaded PDFs in my files and all of the highlights and annotations are gone. I am doing research so this is very inconvenient, I cant just lose all that work. What happened and how can I get the highlights back?

Syncing Books I’m trying to sync my books across my devices, I go to iCloud and have turned on books, when I go to settings > books and try to select “reading now” and “iCloud Drive” under Syncing they are both greyed out on my iPad, I was able to select them on my iPhone, what is stopping me on my iPad?

Apple Books don't sync to iCloud When I add a PDF to the Books app in MacOS the file isn't uploaded to iCloud, even though it should be (according to the settings). I'm logged in to all my devices with the same Apple ID, but the file is not available anywhere else than locally on the Mac where it was imported. I have tried to log in/out and to turn off/on iCloud storage for the app, but nothing helps. Does anyone have an idea of what may be wrong?
