Using iCloud for app storage on 16 GB iPhone SE

I have an iPhone SE I was wondering if the iCloud storage can be used like an external storage in place of the 16 GB that’s on my phone because I can only download so many apps for the 16 GB and after that it’s not let me download anymore I didn’t know if I could still continue download apps and it be saved into my iCloud account

No, iCloud is not external storage for the purpose of storing data there and removing it from your device. You can use Optimized Storage to ease constrained device storage and it will store the original high resolution photos in iCloud and only the device will have the smaller thumbnails until needed.

In addition Optimized Storage will remove seldom used apps to free up storage space and can then be downloaded again when needed. You cannot download apps to iCloud and run them there.
