iPad Pro Screen failed while using iPad

I was in the middle of watching a video on my iPad Pro when the screen went blank apart from a few grey lines and it stopped responding to input. I tried locking the device and then waking it again and the device only had a blank screen with the backlighting on. I did a force restart, other than seeing an extremely faint and blurry Apple logo, the only change I had was a bar of corrupted video signal before it went back to being blank with the backlighting on.

I know the device is turned on as went I plug in the USB-C charging cable, I can hear the charging tone.

Any ideas before I take this to an Apple Authorised Repair centre?
