Erase stolen iPhone 15 without Find My

Hi, my partner’s iPhone 15 was stolen and they have managed to access the device and turned off find my on the phone. Now when logging into find my with her Apple ID to erase the phone, it doesn’t appear. Is there another way to erase the phone?

It's too late for the phone. It would still be good to recover control of the compromised Apple Account. Especially if there is synchronized or backed-up data (like photos and videos) that she is hoping to recover.

Note that if the criminals had her credentials, they could have gotten into, or even vandalized, her data.

The ONLY way they could have turned off Find My was to know her login credentials OR it wasn't actually turned on to begin with. If the device doesn't appear in the list of devices in iCloud (www.icloud.com) there is no way to turn on the erase the phone option. Apple can't help you as they don't get involved in lost or stolen devices.

Call the carrier and at least ask them to blacklist the phone so it can't be activated on any network.

Apple used to have an article referring to a service for found iPhones titled "Return a lost, locked iPhone" but the link I have for that just directs to the general find iPhone support site. Find your lost iPhone or iPad - Apple Support

I am guessing they no longer offer the service (which wasn't a recovery service anyway but it did offer a way for one to send one to Apple to make sure it was processed properly).
