How can I share edited Books on Mac with the author?

An author employed me to edit his book in iBooks on my Mac. I have done this, using highlighting and notes in the text. He can’t see this in his version. How can I send him my edited version?

iBook Author to Pages I have the iBook Author App for a long time-it seems. I did not know it was going to be extinct. My father gave me a bunch of information before he died & asked me to put it together for my siblings and my family. I started out in iBook Author and just picked his notes up again last week. Apple doesn't care about ibooks author users Like many other people I have been using ibooks author for my own use and have had no problems as it is easy to use. Apple no longer support ibooks author and as my apple computers are coming to the end of their excellent shelf life if I buy a new imac then I cannot use ibooks author and will lose access to my lifelong work. Apple says that Pages will do the same job but as we all know that is simply not true. I have raised this several times with the support section but to be honest they are not interested and pan me off by telling me that I want in Pages will be along shortly in an update. Well two years is a long time to wait for an update. Apple have let me and many others down and they just do not seem to care. All my tech stuff is Apple but as long as I keep buying their products they are quite happy but still not willing to help. Has anyone migrated their ibooks author files successfully to another program? I would be interested to know as would many others. I am currently looking at Quarkxpress and indesign but that is a lot of money and retraining only to find out that the software is not compatble.

I think the author needs to send you a copy of his text in a format which can be used for editing by a word processor like Pages or Word. The Books app is really just for reading.
