Why does the clock app not have date options?

I have been setting up my calendar and found some good use with it. My work schedule is every 3rd day (24/48 schedule) and I know there is an alert option on the calendar app. However, I would like to set up an alarm either on the calendar app or an every 3rd day option on the clock app to wake me up on the mornings that I need to go into work.

I constantly am turning off my alarm on the days I'm off and then have to remember to turn it back on the night before I have work. I have forgotten to turn on my alarm a few times, causing me to wake up too late for work.

If there could be an improvement on either app, it would help a TON!

If there is any solution to my issue, it would be appreciated.

Thanks for your response but that isn’t what I’m looking for. I have recently learned the use of reminders and see how it works in combination with the calendar. It does a good job.

I, however, am looking to set an alarm on an every third day schedule, not an alert. The alert is a notification, unless I can set the alert to be an alarm that I don’t know about.
