Why was itunes split?

This is now a complete pain to synchronise my phone and the apples devices app keeps 'hanging' and not finding my phone or not transfering files???!!! WTH

The iPhone could not be synced because the sync session failed to finish. Since iTunes was split everything got worse. And for months the iphone does not sync. Has anyone found a solution other than switching away from mac/iphone?

"Why" Apple does anything or makes any decisions is something no one here can answer since we are all just fellow users. As to your problem, if you post back with details about your system and what you've already tried, someone may be able to offer suggestions.
