iOS 18.2 13 Pro Max battery drain

before I updated to iOS 17 I had the same problem. 17 resolved it and 18.2 started it again. The battery drains very quickly. It’s been almost a week since I did this update so I don’t think it’s due to completing the update. It even drains when it’s PLUGGED IN or if it doesn’t drain it doesn’t build up a charge more than 20%. this is using the same charging cord and plugs that I e been using the past several months without an issue. Also, not sure if the update changes accepting cord connections but sometime I plug it in, says it’s charging and I look later it’s not while still connected. If I flip the lightning part over and plug it into the phone it recognizes it and says it’s charging again.

any thoughts? Help is greatly appreciated ?

Go to Settings>Battery>Battery Health>Maximum Capacity, what do you see? After your comment about the lightning cable, have you tried another cable? What power adapter are you using for charging?

I am having issues with my battery draining a lot faster than normal after the 18.2 update. I have never had battery issues until this update last week. I have a 14 Pro Max that was purchased new in July 2023. I am not happy about this because I still remember IOS 8 that completely ruined two iPhone 4S models. I still have two years left on this phone and should not have to spend money on a battery or new phone.

Max Battery Capacity is 83%. It’s similar to last week may decreased by 2-3

i use the USB C outlet in the tower style outlets that sit on the desk. In another room, same style hookup, it is better so I’ll replace the cord. But it still loses power but not as quickly. I’ve followed all the suggestions- its brightness is in the middle. I’ve turned off all locations except Find My phone. I’ve turned off the background updates.
