BENFEI 8-in-1 hub mirrored display on Macbook Air M2

trying to hook up my 2023 Macbook Air M2 to two external monitors through Benfei 8 in 1 hub. Every screen shows a picture but the two externals are a mirror. I would like them to have the ability to be different. Anyone know the change in settings to make this happen? I have downloaded the Benfei video driver, but can't find where to change the settings.

The M2 MacBook Air only supports one external display. There is no way to increase the maximum number of first-class, hardware-supported displays (though there are workarounds based on DisplayLink and the like that can come with serious compromises).

Even if you had a Mac that supported two or more external displays, the only way to connect both in a hardware-supported way through a single hub or dock would be if that hub or dock was a Thunderbolt one. I strongly suspect that that Benfei hub is a low-end, plain USB-C hub … not a Thunderbolt device.
