iMovie 10.4.3 How do I put clips from timeline into media bin?

I lay out a length of video in the timeline. From that long piece, I make clips that I'd like to rearrange, or just use later. There seems to be no way to put the clips from the timeline into the Media bin for later use. I must be missing something basic.

Hi,

The only ways to save a trimmed clip in its trimmed form is to copy and paste it into a different project, or make a duplicate of your project.

So, you can create a new project for the purpose and paste your edited clips into it, sort of like a library, where you can later access the clips and do the same procedure of copying and pasting them into other projects.

If you have a lot of splits that you want to retain for later use you can make a duplicate of your project and access the clips from the duplicate.
