Assistive touch disappears every time I turn off my ipad

Every time I turn off and on my ipad (I do this weekly), the assistive touch disappears.

At first I could just turn it off and back on with the toggle in the settings, to make it re-appear. But the only thing that works now after multiple tries, is to reset the assistive touch menu. Only then I’m able to get it back. Which is pretty frustrating, if I have to do this at least every week.

Does anyone have the same issue?

I’m using my iPad 2019 (7th gen), 10.2 inch with iPadOS 18.2

iPad, iPadOS 18
