After a very long time here, I've observed that few people who post a question will come back weeks or months later to see if new responses have been added.
For asking questions about an issue you may have:
As for adding your issue, or "exact same problem," to an existing thread, best practice is "don't. It is very hard for us to help more than one person per thread. Tag-ons confuse the responders and dilute the attention the original poster ("OP") deserves.
Tagging on an existing question with a "me too" is much like someone barging into a doctor's exam room to ask about his medical issue while the doctor is treating someone else.

means the thread has been locked for inactivity or age. Also, in my long tenure here I have seen very few posters who come back weeks or months later to look for new answers to their threads.
If you come here from a search engine, you may see a lot of those banners. Search engines are not conducive to effectively helping here.
The better way to help here:
That way, posters get current information and can recognize your contributions with an upvote.
Possibly because the particular thread has been closed due to inactivity.
Possibly because you are not logged in.
