iPhone 16 Pro: sharing GPS location using satellite - who gets coordinates?

Had success in sending/receiving text message via satellite but can’t confirm location coordinates have been shared. How do I share location with a specific person on my Favorites list? Where does someone I’m sharing my location with see my current location? Do I have to repeat connecting every 15 minutes (stop the car, get out and find clear sky …)? iPhone 16 Pro.

See a friend’s location sent via satellite

In order to see a friend’s location sent via satellite, you need to have iOS 16.1 or later installed on your iPhone (you don’t need iPhone 14 or later).

When a contact sends you their location via satellite, a satellite icon   appears next to their picture and Satellite Location appears in the text in the Find My app. Their most recent location is viewable for up to 7 days.

What I see on screen in Find My but how does someone see the information? “Send My Location” … is a button? … is a pending status? When using Find My at home there is a blue dot for my location and circles for the friends I’m sharing my location. What is the visible confirmation on screen for my Satellite location? Who will see my location and what will they see? Is there a history? Not sure how this feature works to find me in the wilderness.
