Is there a way to "refresh" a purchased book to see the missing pages?

I purchased a book in Apple Books. I was reading, then in the middle of Chapter One, the screen is blank until around page 50 pages are visible again. I tried to remove the book and reload from the cloud, but the same pages are still missing. Is there a way to "refresh" my purchase to see the missing pages?
