Intercom voice for automations has changed

I have a number of automations set up in Shortcuts where various reminders are announced via intercom on our HomePods. Things like ‘It’s time to get ready for work’. Since updating to 18.2, the quality of the voice is much worse. It sounds like a synthesised voice from a couple of decades ago. Flat with little expression. Is there any way to change this?

Apple Voice control works for a while then just stops transcribing speech On my new M2 Air I can use Apple Voice Control for a while and then it just stops transcribing speech, although it still understands "start listening" and "stop listening" as evidenced by the icon showing on and off. If I turn off Apple Voice Control I can use dictation with the mic hotkey but can't use the extra features of Apple Voice Control like editing and other commands (plus the transcription isn't as good ). A complete restart restores the service but this is extremely impractical because it stops so frequently (within 15-45 minutes). Activity Monitor doesn't show anything unusual (afaik). My Sonoma has the latest updates. I would love it if anyone has any suggestions for how to fix. Thanks! [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Siri changes voice on its own (in certain cases, at certain times) I have my Siri voice set to American (Voice 3). I'm very familiar with how his voice sounds, and I enjoy hearing it. However, sometimes, in certain cases, a different voice responds to me. For example this morning I said, Hey Siri, what's the forecast for today? And instead of my familiar voice 3, I get somebody else (I'm not sure if it's one of the listed voice choices; it doesn't seem to be). If I ask something else, however, like a piece of knowledge that Siri will search for on the web, I get voice 3. I know it's a small thing, but this together with all the other small things, compromises my experience, overall. Thanks.

Why is the Spoken Content voice different to the Start Speaking voice? If I use the 'Spoken Content' accessibility keyboard shortcut, I hear Siri Voice 1 (UK). But if I right-click on the text and choose 'Start Speaking' I hear a different voice (I think it's Daniel, whom I don't have enabled or even downloaded).
