Logic Pro - Random Loud Static Noise Burst Logic Pro 11.1

Hi All

I'm having issues with random loud bursts of static noise, it happens at random intervals...it's a horrible sound.. It's not an issue with external hardware....it only happens when Logic is open and it's also present when I bounce out my tracks offline or realtime.

I just bought the latest Mac Book Pro - M4 Pro and I did a fresh install....NOT from a Time Machine back up.

I'm running the latest version of logic and Mac OS....so I'm wondering if it's an issue with a third party plug in or some strange corrupted bug in Logic...Any thoughts or trouble shoots?

Are there any plugs that may cause this? Or is this a potential Logic Bug?

If you search the internet on this topic, you will read that this is a rare but not a new issue. The reason why it's occurring is not clear. Very often it happens when inserting plugins during playback. I always stop playback when inserting plugins. But this doesn't apply in your case as you have this issue while bouncing. Another reason might be old plugins. Double-check the Plugin-Manager and the two component folders on your computer, if there is one or more candidate(s) you either update or remove completely from your hard drive. A third point to look at is cpu load...

Thanks so much for getting back to me, I really appreciate it. I'm going to call apple care because I think it's a logic issue / OS issue. I tested the system with out my Apollo X 8 plug in and the same issue comes up. I do think Apple has a duty of care to make sure these white noise don't damage people hearing. All the plug ins show they are compatible and synched...my feeling is there is a corrupt file or project.

I also have the issue of static in my bounces and it is very loud. It might damage peoples ears if they are unaware. It started after the latest update 11.1.1 on my MacBook Pro M1 Max. When I bounce in real time I get the music. When I open the bounced file I expect music but get the static from the WAV or MP3. It kills my ears.

I also notice a lot of stuttering by LogicX.

Please Apple, research the issue and bring a solution.

I am willing to bet that you have an incompatible plug-in and/or you have a deactivated license and one of the 3rd party plug-ins within your session is causing the noise. Go ahead and bypass ALL plugs and I am sure that will cover you.

Thanks for responding. Well it started after the latest update. And I have not changed anything according to the plug-ins. I's a random problem. Sometimes I get it 3 times in a row. Then I quit Logic and bounce again. No problem...

But I will follow your suggestion and check all my plug-ins. Some cleanup could always be helpful :-)
