iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 18.2 is requiring the passcode for setting the alarm via Control Center as well now. This is not a convenient change.

Oh my. Looks like this “feature” (which is annoying me as well) has been implemented in a very messy way. Apart from the way demonstrated by @SravanKrA, opening the timer from Control Center and switching to the Alarms tab also lets anyone view all the alarms without having to unlock the device.
So, requiring passcodes for merely opening Alarms (and Stopwatch as well btw) does not lead to more privacy as of now (assuming this to be the iOS devs’ intention).
