HomePod 18.2 intercom volume still too low & inaudible

Intercom volume since HomePod OS 18 is too low & inaudible.

Worked fine with HomePod 17.

intercom from iPad/iPhone works fine, its just Intercom initiated from HomePod is inaudible.

the intercom tone played before the intercom is normal volume as is Siri's responses, its the intercom message itself that is inaudible.

I have lodged yet another feedback to Feedback - HomePod - Apple

Feedback appears to fall on deaf ears though.

Homepod Mini Intercome Volume Apple please add support to have separate volume levels for Intercom, Media and Siri. the Intercom is useless unless you always have volume to the max and don’t listen to any media ever. perhaps a setting that when Intercom broadcasts: 1) media that is playing pauses the volume goes to 100% (or a user specified %) 2) Message broadcasts. 3) Volume returns to previous setting 4) Media resumes (if any was playing) also even when volume is set to max sometimes the Intercom broadcasts are very difficult to hear. intercom is our primary importance and we just replaced all our echo products to HomePods and so far we are disappointed as Intercom is useless. please hear us out and fix this issue Apple. I have every Apple everything now and do not want to resort to having to return to Echo Products.

How can I resolve issues with HomePod mini after iOS 18.3 update? Hello everyone! My HomePod mini is acting weird these days specially from the time I’ve updated it to version 18.3 It plays media on a louder voice without me wanting it to do so or Siri just appears and thinks I have a request although I don’t. I’ve restarted and removed it from my account and nothing has changed; i’ve also connected it to my MacBook and restored it but its function is the same. I would be glad to try your suggestions! Homepod 17.3 really slow comparing 17.2 New Homepod version 17.3 Siri is really slow answering when comparing to previous 17.2. When asking music Siri will always "thinking" and even asking pause takes many seconds more vs previous 17.2. Same when asking weather it takes about 5-10 seconds more time Siri to answer (when it even works anymore) What happened Apple? Did you slower the device again by software update. Nothing wrong with network and reboot does not help.
