Genmoji and Stickers not working on iPhone 16 after 18.2 update

i have my iphone 16 updated on ios 18.2 but i cant use the stickers like emojis. i also have the new genmoji feature but when i try to type the new emojis in line with text messages they get sent as an attachment like it did before the update. i was so exited for the genmoji update and now i’m so disappointed, please help me if anyone knows how to fix it🥲❤️

Emoji issue with iOS 18 Ever since the update has come out I have issues with emojis in messaging, both iMessage and WhatsApp application. The emojis are slow and lagging and there are gaps in the “recently used” section where stickers randomly appeared with iOS 18.1 but now are just grey blank spaces with iOS 18.3… Is this a common issues?
