Just updated to 18.2. The Mail App is terrible. I just want it to be how it was, I don’t know, the entire time I’ve been in the iOS ecosystem. You know, like 10+ years.

I have the same question. I absolutely hate the mail update. Who ever thought that was a good idea must really hate humanity.
Toggling the contact photos off though settings and under mail returns it to how it used to look. Much better. Thank you!
Terrible update. Can’t search for emails at the top or delete multiple emails at once. Anyone know how to revert to the old version?

The new mail is terrible. Please revert - no categories, no pictures, no unwanted prioritization. Just same old mail.

No matter what I try to get my emails back to the original format before latest update, they do not work, maybe it can't be done?
No it doesn’t I did that and I still have those icons to the left of each email. Ugh
Good point, but purposefully breaking things and then forcing us all to find a way back to normal seems too much like this current administration. :/
